The Perrine Bridge Festival, Sep 5-6. This festival has become a tradition around Twin Falls for BASE Jumpers (Building, Antenna, Span, Earth) and spectators alike. It began four years ago when Miles Daisher jumped from the I.B. Perrine Bridge 57 times in less than 24 hours; hiking out of the Snake River Canyon each time (the equivalent of hiking Mt. Everest) to raise money and awareness for children with special needs in the Magic Valley. Today the event includes a 5K and 10K race, kids fun run, kids activities, BASE Jumping, skydivers, entertainment, kayak and canoe rentals and so much more. The Festival has raised over $50,000 and has helped 61 special needs kids with therapy, equipment, learning tools and transportation to specialist outside the area.
